Business

Use this guide to access library resources, including databases, books, academic journals, and textbooks, Open Educational Resources, and freely available online resources related to the subject of Business.

Library Databases

For off-campus access you will need to login using your StarID and password. The screen looks like this:

  • Select your keywords: decide which keywords best describe the topic you are searching.
  • Select full text: if full text isn't selected, you may not be able to see an entire article or resource.
  • Select peer-review: doing this ensure that your results are scholarly. If you are looking for newspaper articles, magazines articles, or less academic sources do not select peer-review as an option.
  • Use Boolean operators: use AND, OR, or NOT between keywords to narrow or broaden your results.
  • Get a citation: once you find a relevant resource, this is a good time to look for a citation tool. Always double check the citation though, as it was probably written by a robot.
  • Save your article/resource: print, email, or save the article/resource. I recommend emailing yourself using the tools the database provides.
