Volunteer Opportunities

There are many great reasons to volunteer your time! You'll be able to practice your leadership skills, build your network, and find opportunities that align with your interests, values, and purpose. Local Organizations by Location

HERO
The Healthcare Equipment Recycling Organization opens its doors to volunteers who help sort and pack the donations for the local and international communities who receive help for basic medical needs.
Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity
Lake Agassiz Habitat for Humanity utilizes volunteers to construct homes, work in the ReStore, help plan events, serve on committees/Board of Directors, and more.
River Keepers
We coordinate efforts in conservation, safety, recreation, riparian restoration and water quality among local agencies in the Fargo, North Dakota – Moorhead, Minnesota region.
YWCA Cass-Clay
Various volunteer opportunites are available at the YWCA including preparing dinner, cleaning, working with children, and more.
Rape and Abuse Crisis Center
You help with office and clerical work, cleaning, planning special events, and assisting in the childcare facilities. Volunteers can become a Crisis Intervention Advocate to provide direct assistance to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Humane Society of the Lakes
It is the mission of the Humane Society of the Lakes to provide services for abandoned or unwanted animals while they await lifelong homes. Our vision is that all animals are treated with dignity and respect. The Humane Society of the Lakes operates a no kill shelter for animals of the Becker County Area.

Fergus Falls Public Library
The Fergus Falls Public Library is proud of its many volunteers. Community volunteers help the library provide excellent customer service. Volunteers generally provide support services to staff and/or work on special projects.
