Why Cite?

The point of citation is to give credit to the author of your sources and explain to your reader where you found the information to support the argument of your paper.

Citing Sources

To use a citation provided by the database:

Click on the article you would like to use from your search results
Click on the "Cite" tool which looks like a quotation mark and is found on the top of the screen.

Find the citation format you want to use and select it.

Double check the citation and make sure it is in the right format. Using a database citation is a great time saver but it isn't guaranteed to be correct.
